No Coinbase Account? No Problem!
Coinbase is easy to use, and takes just a few minutes to set up.
To get started, navigate to their website here.
Enter your basic information.
Note: Be sure to use a secure email address.
Once you’re done, you’ll need to log into your email account and confirm your signup. This allows Coinbase to confirm that you own the email address.
Just click the confirmation button to verify the email address.
Once you confirm your email, you’ll be taken back to the Coinbase signup portal, where you’ll be asked to configure additional account details. Most Coinflash users will want to select an ‘Individual’ account.
You can optionally configure two factor authentication. This feature will allow you to protect your account with a text-message authorization. (More here)
The next step will be to set up a payment method. Enter the banking or credit card information you’d like to use to purchase crypto on Coinbase. When your savings are transferred from Coinflash they’ll be purchased from this card.
Last but not least, regulatory bodies require Coinbase to verify their user’s identity to mitigate the risk of illegal activity.
You’ll just need to submit a valid form of authentication, and then confirm it’s validity via one of the options noted.
If you choose the option to upload via mobile, you’ll receive a test message with a link, which will open this page on your phone.
Once your ID is verified, you’ll be taken to this page:
After all of the identification steps are complete, you can finalize your payment method information.
Now that you’ve finished joining Coinbase, the last step will be to make two final validation payments. These allow Coinbase to confirm that you have control over the payment method provided.
Once the micro-payments have been made, you can log into your bank account to confirm the last two digits of each order. If you need assistance accessing your online banking, your banking provider should be able to provide more direction.
Return to Coinbase and enter the final two digits of each order.
Congratulations! You’re now ready to start using Coinbase with Coinflash!
Make sure you properly link your Coinflash account to Coinbase. (Click here for our tutorial!)
